MLB Fan's Shocking Fall at Pirates vs. Cubs Game
PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after he fell more than 20 feet from the outfield stands during a Major League Baseball game at PNC Park, reports say. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the man fell from the 21-foot Clemente wall onto the warning track in right field during the seventh inning of the Pirates game against the Chicago Cubs. Shocked players and coaches immediately called for the game to be stopped so the man could be helped, the Post-Gazette reports. Training staffs from both teams tended to the man for about five minutes before he was carted off the field. The team issued a statement shortly after the game ended saying the man was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. “Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family,” the statement says.
