Award-winning hip hop star Ebow Graham fell to his death from third-storey window
An award-winning UK hip hop star fell 40ft to his death during a psychotic episode after a string of failings by NHS staff, a report has found.
Ebow Graham, 40, who founded band Foreign Beggars, was reportedly behaving erratically on April 17, 2020, leading his concerned friends to call 999 to his flat.
But when paramedics arrived at the property in Clapton, East London, they were said to have been 'dismissive and flippant'.
And just hours later, Mr Graham - who performed under the name Metropolis - plunged to his death after falling out of his third-storey bedroom window.
Now, an investigation into the circumstances leading up to his death has revealed 'several missed opportunities' by the NHS to save him.
His friends first raised the alarm at 4.20pm and when paramedics arrived, they said Mr Graham, who did not have a history of mental illness, had 'capacity over his care' and left.
A probe later found the medics had failed to contact the mental health team.
At 6.30pm his flatmate, who was a GP, called the mental health crisis team to warn them about his serious concerns for Mr Graham's state of mind.
